Travis Williams will defend his PhD thesis on October 4, 2013. He was recently awarded Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s most prestigious postdoctoral fellowship: the Wigner Fellowship. Travis will be using neutron scattering techniques to investigate novel magnetic systems. He is the first neutron scatterer to be named a Wigner Fellow since Mark Lumsden (also a McMaster grad).
